Insert image from memory. Insert from Clipboard.

If I take a screenshot and want to describe it in Blender, then it would be convenient if I could insert the image directly in the 3D view or in the image editor.

Here could be this function: Add / Image / From Memory or File / Import / Image from Memory or CTRL V

Or would it be better place in the add-on "Import Images as Planes"? There, left in the menu, an option: Picture from working memory.

Possibly an option, paste as wallpaper or import as Plane.

What do you think? Did you already need that? Is it technically possible to implement this in blender? Or are there problems with different operating systems?

I wonder what you think of this idea. Greetings, Roger

That's a pretty straight forward and standard feature of every image editor.

As you can see, that's cinema 4d's picture viewer (left):

Blender's image editor should work the same, so hell yeah.

Could be better if you can create a image inside blender from clipboard, not only for BG, for textures,....
