Render to gif
I would like to render an image or a video from blender straight to a .gif with support for transparency (using the alpha channel) and an option for loop or don't loop the gif

I don't know if it is still relevant today but a few decades ago the legal situation with the gif file format made a lot of open source projects refuse to touch it. There are many small and fast programs that can convert your transparent png image sequence to a movie or a gif or an animated png in 2 seconds. ottverse.com/how-to-create-gif-from-images-using-ffmpeg/
