Geonodes "lists" and "string to value"

I think adding a listing system to geometry nodes, as well as a string to value node with different values being separated by ";" is a great way to give users more control power.

Consider this situation where we want to give users a way to add windows in a house or to add gates in a fence, it would be easily done by giving them the possibility to form a list by typing a number (corresponding to a wall section index) or several numbers, for several windows or gates, to be placed on precise points.

The way this could be done right now is by limiting the amount of gates/windows the user can put, for instance 3, then having to insert 2 inputs for each, one to enable the extra gate/window and the other to determine the index where is gonna be put. Only to speak on inputs, internally many node-tree duplications and adaptations would have to be done.

By providing a way to input a list from any typed numbers separated by ";", we could forge a Field attribute, to which we can Compare the Index of the walls and address the proper locations to the objects.

I know lists have been planned for a while (they are mentioned in "Geometry Nodes Workshop: May 2024" development blog.) But I think there is no current timeline for when this will be implemented. code.blender.org/2024/05/geometry-nodes-workshop-may-2024/

i think Grasshopper is much more flexible in handling multiple inputs and blender should also do this.

You should try Sverchok addon, it work exactly like that. for archviz purposes, Geometry nodes are not good. they are like Geometry blocks.
