shortcut for shader editor

idk if this is in development or not but it should be

i loved u can now assign shortcuts to viewers node and i feel this could work with material output nodes as well like u can see in the video when i click on material output that node gets active and shows that color this is really needed

i cant tell u guys how many times i have to go far away to BSDF node just to see how the material is looking and then go all the way back to adjust them

The problem is that the Shader editor doesn't have the concept of "Viewer".

Switching Material outputs is a "destructive" operation, in that if you switch by mistake or forget to set it back, your renders will use whatever was assigned last. Whereas the Compositor and Geometry Nodes have actual Viewer nodes, no matter if you switch and forget, your renders will always be consistent.

So it's not the same concept, they shouldn't use the same approach because it could lead to confusion and accidental (destructive) changes.

The solution would be to add real Viewer nodes to the Shader Editor, and assign shortcuts on them.
