Regression: random deselect lost in 2.8
Why this function tossed out of Blender? I suggest checkbox «Deselect» or even separate Deselect.
Also option named as Select - >Select Random it is bad way. Good way is/was Select -> Random or Select -> Random deselect. Because more importang word should be first.

If this is a regression bug, then it should be reported on developer.blender.org .
