Scale faces by moving Individual Origins.

I've noticed a small inconsequence between blender tools. There's an option for Scale to affect only Individual Origin for both Object Mode and UV Editor but there isn't one for Edit Mode.

Would be nice to have an option to quickly bring disconnected faces/edges together or spread them apart if needed by simply toggling an option "Affect Only Origins" same as one can scale them without affecting the origin by changing "Transform pivot point" option. EzyPoly

But how to behave if slection set consist not from single polys but from group of polys? Scale every poly with detaching? Think that answer is 'no' - just scale those groups around their center point. But if this kinda of groups (with multiply polys) only one? Scale it around mid point or as individual polys?.. imgur.com/a/qzscFcc

Isn't Individual Origins for this? Maybe I don't understand the problem...

No, Individual Origins not solve this case. Author mean what's on this GIF but work for Edit mode. In other words, author want new transformation mode, when you not actualy scale faces (faces size stay same) but you scale locations of loose parts around some transformation point instead (Midpoint, 3D Cursor, Active, etc.).

But it is too hard to use brain a bit more and describe idea normally, in details. It need to propose "scale faces by moving them", you know, you always scale somethin by moving it. Author also forgot to mention that similar trasformation in object mode work for Rotate, not only for scale.

You don't understand the problem, I guess, because author made proposal with "perfectly understandable and correct to native speakers" title (as user dido already tell me), you are just not good enough native speaker...

Your proposal has not the best worded title. I have read it few time before understood what you want. "Scale faces by moving.. " What? Scale something by moving... It also wrong because this is not only about Scale transform - this feature missing for Rotate as well.

No, the title accurately, but incompletely describes the situation. It's not "wrong". It's perfectly understandable and correct to native speakers.

Totally. The workaround at the moment is to separate your selection by loose parts, set origin to geometry, go to object mode and use scale with the "location" option enabled. Quite a lot of steps XD
