blender won't force quit

i was guided here to report bugs, sorry if wrong place

when i render either eevee or cycles it freezes forever and then cant be force quit. i have to restart the whole computer by holding the power button.

its the newest macbook pro

cycles eevee viewport realtime rendering works fine

is there a "ultimate extra ultra-force quit" i can use? its sad to restart the computer.
