VSE - extra slider for waveform size

I often encounter the issue where the sound is way too loud for the displayed waveform. However, when I adjust the sound to the optimal volume, the waveform becomes too small to discern anything.

My current workaround is to duplicate the audio strip and disable the loud audio strip so it only displays the waveform. Then I use the other audio strip to listen to the actual sound.

My suggestion would be to implement two sliders, one for the actual volume and another for the waveform size.
