Mask slice and fill hole should only fill the hole created.
This feature request may be simple and doesn't necessarily need any screenshots.
When using box or lasso to mask in sculpt-mode, it's possible to do easy cleanup of mesh (such as photogrammetry). I use slice option to remove geometry, but when using slice with fill hole option (
bpy.ops.mesh.paint_mask_slice(new_object=False)
) It wants to fill all non-manifold edges of the entire object (making faces everywhere in undesirable places)
I'm sure it's not a bug (as it's always a "feature" ..) so i won't bug report it, but it's frustrating to have to enter edit mode to do that (edit mode is around 10 to 50 times longer to do any action (even entering edit mode is long).

I would say this is a bug. So it would be great to report it.
I think it's nice if it fills all holes when nothing is masked, but if something specific is masked and deleted, it makes sense to then only fill the new hole created.
