Standard Lattice - adapted to object

I have read that there is an external tool just to make lattice work like it works in any other software.

Lattice should work like this.

You select the object, you add the deformation, creates the lattice by default and the shape is adapted to the object.

We don't need the extra steps to set up the lattice at the position of the object, scale or whatever. That does not make any sense, we lose time with that.

In 5.0 you will be able to add a lattice to the selected object, giving you a ready-to-use lattice object and modifier setup adapted to your object. See #144888 - Modeling: Add Simplify Lattices functionality - blender - Blender Projects

Simple lattice addon solve it. for free.

I agree, lattice is a default object of blender, but get unusable when your object doesn't fit the default lattice. Having to rely on an external (sometime paid) addon just to do that is not nice.
