Proper Grease Pencil Canvas Rotate with Left and Right Hotkeys

I'm an animator who uses various programs, Toon Boom Harmony, CSP, Animate and now Grease Pencil. I also use a Tourbox macro pad for my work, and I rotate my canvases with a dial, but I cant really do that here in grease pencil, with the only rotation options being a hotkey with middle mouse click (that doesnt always work), or some weird camera parenting.

Id like to request just an honest normal Viewport rotate that works with a camera view without rotating the camera, and that there be a hotkey option to rotate left or right that I can set with a dial.

Id also like to request a similar thing to timeline scrubbing, I use another dial for that, so having hot keys would be nice.

I feel like it's a cognitive thing. I took some time rotating the canvas in clip studio and trying to understand what's happening.

I've come to realize that if you have the add on set to "Rotate from view center in camera" the rotation "functionally" seems to work the same as raster art program. One difference is the gesture needed to make the rotation is alot smaller in clip studio. So you can make really small circles with your stylus and rotate easier. In blender you have to make way wider circles. That i do wish was changed. When you're zoomed in the rotation feels weird.

The biggest thing i noticed is that we look at the camera view boundaries as if they were the canvas. But NO lol., the canvas is invisible and "infinite." Because us 2d artist are used to a visible canvas with a white paper background , our brains are getting confused by the camera view. Also the real canvas "grid" visualization , doesn't rotate and that feels so weird.

So i wish , there was a optional setting to hide the faded black "camera view boundary", then make the greasepencil "grid" visualization the same resolution size as the camera. And just be a box instead of a grid. Then make it rotate with the view instead of being stationary.
