Knife Tool Snapping on other objects as a base cut.
I came to blender after 20 years of 3ds max and I love it. but a thing I couldn't figure out and didn't find anything that could help me, so I decided to suggest it here.
It's very useful for me to use knife tool and be able to snap my cuts to other vertices in the scene (other objects). is there any way or can it be implemented in 4.4?

I agree these are long waited improvements. Meantime have a look at this Snap Line Tool in extensions. github.com/Mano-Wii/Addon-Snap-Utilities-Line/wiki The name is misleading but it works similar to knife with a few extra features.
Thanks a lot for the alternative solution! I'll give it a try. is it compatible with 4.3? last updated 10 years ago :D
The version in Preferences/Extensions repo works fine in 4.3
