User Interface of Modifiers Panel.

My feedback is regarding Apply Button and Modifiers list.

Please replace the Apply Button in a Modifier to where it was earlier. This button being added in a drop down arrow actually causes inconvenience and affects speed in the workflow.

Secondly, the overview of all the Modifiers in Add a Modifier button was actually better, than being categorized in drop down arrows in the recent 4.0 update.

Or at least an option should be given the Settings and Preferences, whether the user wants to switch to previous interface of the Modifiers Panel.

I don't understand what inconvenience it causes, could you elaborate on that?

IMHO it was unnecessary to constantly have these Apply/Copy buttons taking space while being a single-use action, moving them to a submenu allowed to reduce visual clutter, and it also allowed to have their actions bound to keyboard shortcuts. Hence, if you want speed, don't use the menu at all: just hover the modifier and press Ctrl A . That's way faster than what we had before, you can spam it to apply multiple modifiers quickly, it works on folded modifiers as well, and it works on constraints too.

For the new overhaul, it's already being discussed on its design page: #111538 - Modifiers UI Overhaul - blender - Blender Projects

And in the meantime, you can use the addon Old Modifier Menu - Blender Market

If you want to know how the modifiers GUI was changed back in 2.90, you can read those tickets and their comments:

What I am trying to say is, as it varies from to user to user, there are still some people who would still prefer Apply button being outside in the layout. The Old Modifier Menu addon being created and available on Blender Market is because of this reason.

So my idea is, if visual clutter is the reason, then a small descent size square shape button can be created with a tick mark icon in it, and then it can be placed somewhere in the layout outside.

And lastly, regarding bringing back the overview of all the modifiers at a single click, then my option of making it available in the settings and preferences as a toggle can be considered.

In the Modifiers UI overhaul page link you shared, the very recent message at the bottom of the page, a user named "Kin Malmin" has explained the reason why the overview at a single click is helpful.

If your purpose is workflow speed, while hovering your mouse on top of a modifer, press CTRL + A for quick apply. If you want to apply all modifier at once, CTRL + A in the viewport and Visual Geometry to Mesh

Generally speaking, having the possibility to change how it looks in the user preference can be great but it will most likely not happen. I believe the new drop down menu is cool and condensed, it helps having more coherency between all Blender UI. Old users must accept it and new users won't be bothered
