BVH character animations
Blender imports BVH files nicely. I really like using motion capture data for animating characters.
However it would be nice if I could reload another BVH file onto the same skeleton. Lets say a skeleton has already been parented to the mesh, I dont want to do weights again on a new skeleton.
3ds max had a system where you can load another BVH file onto an existing skeleton. I have a bunch of motion capture files I bought from "truebones" a long time ago. I used to be able to use the same character and reload any animation I wanted on the same skeleton and make animations that way in 3ds max. Most of the BVH files I have used are specific, like dancing, or dodging bullet, or walking like a zombie.

I'd also be interested in a solution to this.
The closest I was able to get was using Sverchok nodes to transfer SHAPEKEYS or BLENDSHAPES Face Animation from one mesh into another. Each one has identical arrangement of shapekeys.
