Grease Pencil to mesh modifier
I was testing the new Grease Pencil update in Blender 2.8 and I encountered some difficulty:
- how do you loop a GP animation ?
- is it planned to have depth of field with the ordinary camera in cycles/eevee

- are regular lamps going to affect the GP objects ?

- also will it interact with other objects and shaders?

My Proposal
I understand GP is probably organized differently from regular meshes, but could we have a way (maybe modifier) that collapses the GP object to mesh without loosing the animation. This way the renderers won't have problems dealing with it.
it could work similar to remesh and offset the layers in "Z" so that they don't intersect.
** the materials are a definite problem

Yes please. Motion blur does not work either, so a modifier that nondestructively makes it a mesh while preserving animation and materials would be amazing.
These are all very very valid points. You have to do a lot of compositing hacks to get GP truly in the 3D world. Being a 3D software with 2D tools, one method should be able to exist with the other seamlessly and effortlessly.
yeah it would be nice to be able to turn the grease pencil strokes into mesh geometry, and shaders for furher effects and the like
@Luciano Muñoz:
I was actually wondering is this is possible. I'd love to experiment with adapting these for use in making real time vfx.
