Overall Blender benchmark
AFAIK there is only one Blender benchmark - opendata.blender.org which tests just a rendering strength. Although the rendering strength is important it is just one use-case. As a user I use Blender for mesh modelling, clay sculpting, non-destructive modelling by modifiers, cloth and physics simulation and g-nodes and so on. So if the user wants to choose a new CPU for work he or she needs look for other qualities then just rendering speed. Is chance for a automated benchmark which will be able to benchmark such task and publish results like render benchmark at opendata?

The idea is to hopefully one day extend the Blender Benchmark to test more things such as animation playback speed (fps), or simulation.
Unfortunately nobody has volunteered to help with creating such tests yet. The source code for the project is available at developer.blender.org .
If you (or anyone reading this) would like to contribute please reach out the team in #blender-open-data .
I understand. I'm putting this in my mental inventory and I will gather time and guts in near future hopefully.
I think devs recently created internal eve benchmark to check for performance regressions, maybe they will eventually release it separately or add it as option to current one.
Eevee benchmark will be nice. Again - it is render benchmark. I'm really curious about nowadays CPUs like Intel's BIG/little mixed cores and AMD's CPUs with and without V-Cache and more is coming. Not for rendering but for fluent work with lots of vertices, physics simulation, baking and other computing power demanding use-cases. It seems to be obvious that more cores equals more power but there are other things like "small cores" in combination with MT big cores or V-Cache influence.
