Ctrl + A to apply Modifier (Regression or option)

When I installed Blender 2.91, it was awesome to be able to apply a modifier just hovering the mouse on it and pressing Ctrl + A

Now, in 2.92, the last modifier that you use is now the active modifier (highlighted), and if you try to apply another one, it doesn't work, it just apllies the active one.

So if you want to apply another one, you have to clic on it and then press ctrl A I work with a lot of modifiers and that extra step was a problem at least for me.

Mi solution? Maybe put an option to toggle the active modifier or the hovering apply. Sorry by my bad English.
