Resizing a light should make it stronger!

i've been struggling with eevee lights , i have some models that i can't reduce to a tiny cube size for various limitations , and the lights for example Hemi , don't light at all ,because they are tiny ,so when i resize with S (scale) , it doesn't do anything practical

And i can't slide the light value above 10 , until i write it (i thought it wasn't impossible until someone told me to write the value , which is not intuitive since the slider is supposed to be the main way )

so my proposal is to have , SIZE , influence Light Value Limit (the bigger the more you can slide without writing values) , or to have the Scale influence its Power

A couple things here, as these things are done by design and I'm not sure they're likely to change in the near future:

  1. Lamp/Light object in the 3D View are visualizations of a light, not the light itself. There are many situations where you'd want to scale a light, but not have that scale have any affect on its output (for instance, you have a light in a large scene and you want to scale the object larger so it's easier to select).
  2. Light power (in 2.7x, at least) can be quickly adjusted by pressing the <kbd>W</kbd> key and choosing the Size option from there.
  3. If you want objects as lights, you can always use mesh lights.
  4. Many value fields in Blender have soft limits and hard limits. Hard limits are usually the maximum you can get with 32-bit values. Soft limits tend to be constrained to more reasonable values. You can exceed those values by manually entering them... that way you consciously know that you're working outside of normal values.

Regarding #1

I'm making sconces and chandeliers to be used as Assets (linked collection instances that include point light objects). Sometimes I want the chandelier to be much larger (2x or 3x) in the final scene. But in the cases where the point lights are only slightly larger than a light bulb mesh, when I scale the collection instance the size of the point lights does not change at all and the end up entirely within the light bulb mesh and this drastically changes the lighting.

Even if the strength doesn't change, the size of the light should change when scaled.
