Extrude Edges

At this point, the extrude edges tool is completely pointless and unneeded. It has been present for years without any use or meaning. We're just pulling out a polygon no without any possibility of further manipulation.

I am not versed in writing code and programming, I urge developers or those who have experience in creating tools, to improve the extrude edges for faces by adding the ability to adjust the bevel. This should be pretty easy for those who have worked with Python. This is important to do now while in the current phase of possible feature additions. Anyone who is willing to help will be welcome, and I will do my best to help with the requirements for the functioning of this tool. I created a visual representation of what it could look like. Very much I ask you to support me and implement this feature.
