2d curves in geometry nodes

With the new curves update, geometry nodes has made a huge step forward, there is basically only one thing missing for me, and this is the option to work with 2d curves. You may think this is not a big deal, but when you work in archviz it can be a game changer.

In the image below you can see the difference between the two modes. For some reason 3d curves won't keep the curve profile on corners when they have defined its handlers as vectors.

I really hope this message gets read by Hans Goudey, :)

For some reason 3d curves won't keep the curve profile on corners....

So maybe it need to ask for correct 3D curve profile instead? Curve Shape 3D: Consistent Bevel Shape

There is a todo task for this here, in case anyone is interested in working on it: developer.blender.org/T80979

There was some work done to fix 3d curves developer.blender.org/D9678 but it had issues because of ongoing curve rewrite for geometry nodes. Maybe it will get finished once curve rewrite is done?
