Improvement idea for View Axis and Brushes
This is a suggestion for an improvement based on the existing feature. In the default mode, when we orbiting to the certain view of the object let say, Front, Back, Left, Right, Top, Bottom, we press the key on number pad that refer to the Axis.
However, let say the user changed the short cut to F1 F2 F3 F4 for Front View, Left View, Top View, Normal View for the quicker access. but at the same time if the user want to see the Back, Right, Bottom, the user still need to assign an extra key for them.
In term of the accessibility and for the key slot saving purpose, wouldn't be better that if the function works like this way for example: Press F1 jump to Front View, Press again jump to Back View, Press again jump back to Front View, same for the other keys.
Same thing for the Sculpting Brushes, if the users want to be able to cycling over the same type of brushes just by clicking the same button just like cycling the Selection Tool.
The most simple way is just add the cycling value into the Key Binding attribution.

You didn't find comfortable to use PIE's for Viewport orientation or Brushes? Have you try PME addon for custom PIE's?
Well, I did and I found that some of the keys are not functioning because they repeated the original Blender key that caused the conflict. That's why I don't really use add-on that much because you never know how the conflict will cause. However, I do use pie menu a lot and it's one of the important thing to the pipeline. It just the one come with original but not the one from the add-on. I think more development on Pie menu will be great.
For what I'm talking about the Viewport Orientation is to add a cycling function to the setting so that user can achieve the functions that cycling the view Axis. This is way faster when cycling the view by pressing the same key multiple time.
You can remap anything in keymaps, PIE's as well. However, do not expect any tomorrow changes if you post anthing here... )) You may wait for something years and it woun't come. I still recomend you to check the PME addon , though. It cost not so much, it is worth it 100%. You can use it to create almost any menu you want that will fits your needs in the best way and provide maximum speed and usability. This seems to me better than wait for miracles...
Well yeah, for my own use probably yes, it's faster and easier, I'm just thinking that this change by default can benefit more people rather than just me.
Btw I have a question about contribution, so I did look up many post in Blender Developer Talk or other forum like this one. Sometime I do see the Development Team mentioned or implied that "You can hire an engineer to help develop Blender, more help is welcome, etc". So I'm really willing to do this like hire a part time engineer to do the tweaking like this and the tweak will be take in to the Blender default. But ended up I feel like the environment and attitude isn't that welcome the help from outside, or is just that I didn't find the way to contact the development team?
Donno, have no ideas how general development going on. You probably have to find come contacts on Devtalks if you want to take part.
