Add checkbox to inherit location to the bone relations.

Unchecking this would greatly simplify creating of root motion animations for games as animators would no longer have to counter animate the leg motion. Essentially, the bone would respect the bone hierarchy but act as if it's location was relative to the origin point of the armature.

This looks relevant!

It would be a handy way to substitute Switchable Bone Constraints, and also, a new, more basal alternative to solve that kind of issue with rigid Parenting Relations.

Such "Inherit Location" Option, should be Keyframable and Drivable.

I assume Enabling it would automatically gray off the Connected Option, even if the latter was already Checked previously.

Beyond those predictions, I cannot think of any complications involving the proposed feature; so, I believe it would be good to go: it should be implemented, because it would mean a simpler cost-efficient solution to complicated problems, even though, structurally spealing when it comes to Rigging & Animation in Blender, it doesn't actually solve anything core regarding new tech solutions existing already on other software (e.g., Unreal Engine, Cascadeur); yet, it would still be a nice implementation, to the restrictions we've got so far in that field.

PS2: I know this might be too much for a single proposal, but I think it worth noting: I'd also suggest (something that I've already suggested elsewhere in this forum): 'Smooth Parenting' Relation, that is, a Slider Button (from 0.000 to 1.000), next to the "Inherit Location" Option. It would improve the access to 'Proportional Posing' effect (pretty similar to an "Influence" Option of a Copy Location Bone Constraint) for the current Bone in relation to its Parent. Of course, that Slider Button would only work when the Inherit Location Option is Enabled.
