GP3.0 selecting and deselecting Fill strokes behavior

I've been trying the new GP3.0 and checking if it's time to finally move my small team to the newest version of Blender (We normally always update to the latest version but since the introduction of GP3.0, we sort of held back because lots of features we were using weren't there yet). I've been looking at the new features and wow I saw a lot of new great stuffs! Really awesome dev team! However, I came across a simple, but very important change which plays a huge part on how we draw. Mainly this...

In GP2.0, when you select or deselect by drawing a small circle(we normally use lasso) inside a fill layer, even without touching the actual boundary strokes, you can select/deselect it. In GP3.0, you'll have to actually select the boundary stroke of the fill stroke to do the selection. This sort of disables the ability to quickly select the fill stroke without selecting the line stroke around it Many times, we would need to select and delete the fill while keeping the line stroke but now it doesn't work. doodling a circle (or any shape actually) no longer selects the fill only. This was very helpful for selecting multiple stacked fill while not touching the rest of the strokes and somethi ng that would largely slow us down if we move to the newest version. Is there a new way of doing it or is it a bug and intended to be returned to the way it was or is it forever gone?

Oh..i noticed that when you single click near the edge , it does just select the whole fill. : files.catbox.moe/lsodpd.mp4

Hm. Well if you think it's a Regression , just file it as a bug report. In blender click : Help>report bug. And fill the title as Greasepencil 2 Regression. That way the devs will actually address it.
