Render All Scenes

I work a lot with scenes in Blender and have often wished for a feature that would allow rendering of multiple or all scenes at once.

While there are workarounds using the Video Sequence Editor or the Compositor, they don’t fully meet my needs. For example, the Video Sequence Editor doesn’t allow me to render separate passes or compositing node setups for individual scenes, and the Compositor doesn’t support having distinct frame ranges for each scene.

Perhaps I’m overlooking something—if so, I would appreciate any guidance.

It would be incredibly useful to have an additional option in the Render menu, such as:

• Render Image

• Render Animation

• Render All Scenes

This would allow for a more streamlined workflow, enabling users to set up a Blender file that imports multiple scenes from different files, essentially functioning as a render manager.

I think command line rendering can do the trick, though. At the very least it allows you to bulk render blend files, specify scenes, override frame ranges, ... Even some render settings. And if you can do a bit of Python, you can do even more.

Thank you! But it would be nice to have it in Blender right out of the box.
