Physics Save properties pressets

Blender still has a lot of editors where user can adjust hundreds of various settings without option to save them. like cloth has. First to come into mind is:

Soft Body properties. There is no option to save these presets. Collision, Force field which is weird because it has presets but not option to save new one, and rigid body.

Am I missing something? I am sure all these settings could be save in some simple xml file and be loaded later when needed.

I am using Blender 4.3.0

Also... add soft body and collision to some object and try to edit settings for collision, and then soft body. And tell me what happened?

A workaround in the meantime:

Physics simulations are "tied" to objects via a modifier. And you can copy one or all modifiers to any object by dragging the modifiers in the outliner. So if you have a physics simulation setting that you like, you can drag its modifier from one object to another, or even append any object with a physics modifier set as you like and then link that same modifier to your target object.

Thank you. This should work. Can you maybe think of a some way to use this workaround and create a library I can access later. I am thinking, If I create a beach ball, and basketball, and jelly... I could make objects and drag those modifiers on them and then I'd just need to put those objects in some library?

Nothing prevents you from marking those objects as assets and use them from the Asset Browser like any other asset.
