Smooth transtiton from opaque to transparent(Object's Alpha Color & X-Ray Mode)

I noticed that Blender's transition from opaque to transparent in both Object's Alpha Color and X-Ray is not smooth,there is a small hiccup at the start of the transition.

For comparison this is how it should be, a smooth transition from the beginning to the end.
