Per lamp volumetrics

I would like to propose the following feature for Blender/Eevee: A per lamp volumetric option (like the old BlenderRender “Halo” effect) as opposed - or in addition to - the per scene volumetrics as it is set up currently. This would allow for effects like in this render (not Blender, but Cinema 4D) where only the red light in the stop signal has volumetrics turned on. All other lights in the scene is without volumetrics making the scene free from a general haze/mist look.

Just checking - You're not proposing a complete set of volumetric settings for each lamp, but a flag indicating whether each lamp participates in volumetrics (Either in scene of volumetrically shaded objects)

So setting the flag to "Not Volume Lamp" means it would not be included in any volume calculations?

Sounds good.

@ammusionist: Thx for the comment! Well actually I guess I DID mean that the effect should be per lamp including individual adjustments per lamp. Oh, and propably I shouldn't say lamp but rather spot, in that the effect will only have relevance for spotlights. Being able to finetune the (fake) volumetrics in the spot cone, will be invaluable in stage-simulations. In this render: flickr.com/photos/tore_bahnson/42726019364/in/dateposted-public/ (not Blender, not C4D) only the spot on the sprechstallmeister have "volumetrics", and as there is no true volumetrics in the scene in general, it is possible clearly and un-obscured to see elements behind the spot cone (public, backdrop curtains etc.) The adjustments could be "intensity" (to determine how visible the effect should be) and "contrast" (to determine the point along the cone where the effect starts to fade out.
