Make a universal caustics option/settings
Hi, i notice if i want to turn on caustics for an object, i have to manually select the shading for each object, this is good, but it would be useful to have another option in the render properties, like a "Use All" which when checked on, should automatically turn on caustics for every mesh, light, and world environment, and when checked off, it reverts back to the individually applied caustics in their respective shading options.
Thanks

AFAIK the reason for the caustic to be a per-object option is performance first, and looks second. Caustics are heavy, and too many lights casting caustics will not give you the look you want. IMHO the need to turn on caustics on all objects and lights of a scene is unlikely (plus you want to be able to tell casters and receivers appart), while the likelyness of people destroying scene performance without understanding why is very likely.
Perhaps a better solution could be to use collections. I.E have a Caustic panel, that can be turned on/off, allows picking collections for each caustic category, and an "override" option which basically ignores whatever the objects' options are. Allowing to either use both objects and collections settings, or only collections.
For now, if you want to turn your whole scene into caustic caster/receivers, you can always just select a bunch of objects and holding Alt when toggling the caustics settings to make the change on the whole selection.
