Sculpting etc. in real 3D in VR
Didn‘t find any practical reference on this cool already existing Blender feature but which needs some refinements to be really useful in the following context:
Blender can be used in VR just by enabling Blenders integrated Stereoscopy Mode (side-by-side or over-under):
When in Camera View and having a VR Screen Mirroring or Virtual Desktop application with sbs/ou option (DesktopPlus for SteamVR supports this for example), the 3D Viewport will be shown 3 dimensional, which allows using Blender with all its features but with a „real“ 3dimensional representation of the scenery!
The only flaws are: (1) All other Viwports show scrambeled text, (2) 3d cursor not properly displayed in 3D space, (3) only works in Camera View. Is there the chance that those issues could be fixed?
Opens great opportunities imho to work in 3D space with a graphics tablet for example. And different approach/usecase than VR Scene Inspection although both could be combined to a great VR workflow.
Edit: Everything sorted out:
(1) Eleminated scrambeled text by setting "Preferences" -> "Interface" -> "Display" - > "Resolution Scale" from 1.00 to 2.00
(2) Can move freely in scene withouth loosing stereoscopy by enabling "View" -> "View Lock" -> "Camera to View"
Thanks!

Thank you for the input! As I understand it, though, this is about VR controller support. I rather thought about an approach, where you work in the traditional way with graphics tablet, but as if the graphics tablet was stereoscopic. And since there is no such thing so far and that would probably hardly be affordable (a "Looking Glass" screen with pen support would be a dream), the screen is just simulated in VR. I'll take a look at the linked Windows build anyway, thanks again!
