Upscaling rendered image back to original resolution when using render "%"
Basically if my resolution is 1920x1080, but I am rendering at 50%, I would love if there was an option to have it automatically upscale the image back to 1080 before it saves the frame.
I often render out previews and edit at a lower resolution so the client can make changes without wasted time, but it can be a major pain to do a final render and have to go through my NLE and manually change all the spots I had to increase the clip size.
With this option all I would have to do is overwrite the original image sequence files with full resolution clips at the end and nothing would need to be changed in the NLE

Well, since 2.8 splited the render options and output options, it could make sense to also have seperated resolutions, for render and output.
Right now the output section dictates both render an file output resolution.
Instead, we could have resolution settings for both, and have a checkbox to force one to be the same as the other:
When checked, the options would become greyed out, and maybe it should simply be the default state.
Or, maybe just add a "Output original resolution file" checkbox under the render percentage.
* @-L0Lock- * I like this idea functionally, but I could imagine people getting really confused
woudn't compositing do the job?
* @Pawel Piotrowski * I agree. Output via a scale node and no problem.
* @ammusionist * That was my first solution, but the actual file dimensions can't be changed in the compositing nodes as far as I can tell, so if I render a 1080p image at 720, then while I can technically scale it 2x, it just gets cropped at 720p.
* @Zach Hixson * Wow. Did not realise that!
OK - It's ugly, but here's a way...
For future - Having a render-scale on the output node of the compositor would be very useful (In px Units or % of Render)
