geometry attibute char[] and ptr
It seems like storing a fixed amount of char[] in geometry nodes would be a simple matter, and the reason there isn't a usable node for it might be due to concerns that someone could store large amounts of data in the geometry, causing Blender to slow down.
However, I believe that with proper memory management, storing char[] on geometry data could be very useful. For example, I want to store texture paths in char[] on the faces of a mesh, and then have a shader call the textures stored in the geometry data.
Alternatively, store pointers to texture paths on the geometry data, where the pointers stored in the geometry could point to (objects, meshes, curves, images, cameras, transforms, scripts).
