Scene Collections

Hi, everybody! I have been using Blender for architecture for quite a while and it works perfect for me. With Blender 2.8 I have some requests: I would like to have the ability to customize Scene Collections with for example different colours under the name (as a background). I try to use Scene Collections as you do in CAD-programs, with the different levels for a building in different collections and subcollections for doors, windows and so on. So I need to have a system for easy finding among collections. I would also like to have a fast way of scrolling through collections, which can sometimes be quite large. Another thing is when you pick an object it gets visible with a round mark in Scene Collections. That mark would be nice if it could be customizeable, so it is easier to see (maybe the ability to change colour by taste), it is a too small round mark, and also making it easier to find in which collection it sits. Finally I am wondering, is there a way of making your own layouts that always have the same Scene Collections visible. Like a layout that shows level one of a building and only these collections show, and another layout showing level two and so on, regardless of what is showing in the other layouts?
