IK stretch axis limiter integrated in bone settings

Now to limit the stretching along the axes during "IK stretch" you have to create a whole new layer with bones, which acts as a filter that passes the parameters of the transform only through the selected channels. This is how riggers achieve the effect I have shown in the image below.

But it would be great if this action (limiting stretching along selected axes during "IK stretch") could be done in a couple of clicks.

( How this system could look like I have shown in the picture below. We create a new block to regulate this option in the bone settings, under Inverse kinematics)

  • This system isolates only the influence of scale from IK Stretch, the scale parameters of the Ik chain bones themselves are open to be influenced on the other side by other rig tools or directly by hand ( optional item )

2 Part ( optional )

You could also complicate the idea slightly and allow more fine-tuned limits on IK stretch. ( this complication is optional, the main thing I have stated above. Everything below is just an option )

In this way it will be possible, for example, to achieve the Shrink effect on selected axes during stretching (This effect is observed when using "Stretch To constraint").

The axis limiting parameters will be in float format, so it will be possible to create intermediate limiting states ( but this is not a feature that would be used often, I guess. A more interesting use case is in the paragraph above )

Perhaps we should just add an option to check the axes of interest to invert the IK stretch. More.jpg

If the developers decide to implement this idea ( At least the first part of the locks idea ) - then creating complex rigs will become easier and more enjoyable

Yes, please!

I REALLY hope this gets implemented. This would be a game changer. Blender, please!
