If you had one of those plus color picker and a minus color picker next to the regular color picker in every color selection tab...

Just like they have in photoshop's replace color function you could really do some awesome color picking and match and replace colors right within blender imagine the possibilities

I would also like to have black body color selection in this extension. C4D has this and it is very time saving.

¿Can you add some screenshot, maybe even for comparabable example(s)? It doesn't seem clear enough from text only.

well, it is just an additional color slider for kelvin color: from warm to cold like 0k to 13k+

Thanks for the reply! Though, even after some Google Images search on those different UIs, I'm still not sure I understand the proposition (without screenshots).

I'm insisting on this, because I sense potential on your UI Color Picker propostion to Blender, but since I cannot read through it entirely, I won't just Upvote blindly. So, you could be loosing several Upvotes just because of the lack of a more 'user-friendly' presentation. 🍻

Indeed, a closer look reveals that many platforms exhibit advanced color handling approaches compared to Blender. You could search for "color picker kelvin + [any software]". As previously mentioned, Cinema 4D stands as a prime example of this, as showcased in the following video: youtube.com/watch .

I'm not advocating for a direct design imitation; rather, I believe the functionalities demonstrated in Cinema 4D could significantly benefit Blender if adopted. It's the conceptual approach that's valuable here, which is why, in my opinion, a screenshot wasn't necessary. But that might just be my perspective.

That video you found helps demonstrating what you are proposing here. Now I see how these features can work. The Color Context Menu in Blender, should probably receive some love in the near future actually; although practical and simple at this point, it certainly is lacking additional, interesting features. For example, for me, the 'Color Palette recorder' for custom Color Palettes, that is nothing new to 2D Art softwares in my experience (even the Save/Load functionalities; that I believe Krita has got it also), at this timestamp: youtu.be/5iQHSl0BOEs would be of the essence to most complex Color artwork. Without a handy Color Palette feature, in the Color Picker Context Menu of current Blender, it becomes much harder and innefficient to engage digitally in Color artwork; because there is no immediate backup reference (in the Color Context Menu) of the Colors I'm already using in the Scene.

About many of the other features of the Color UI in Cinema 4D, I can't say much about them right now, except for the Color Theory mechanisms that, even without testing them, they actually seem remarkable (they also even update in realtime the 'symmetrical' Color inputs below in the Color Palette as the Cursor hovers over the Gradient Colors' Circle, without overriding already Picked Colors inputs, if paying attention to the details); at this timestamp: youtu.be/5iQHSl0BOEs Such feature, can be really helpful, I believe to both experienced and unexperienced artists regarding Color Theory and Color Artwork indeed.

I hope everyone in Blender starts to look at those features more seriously from now on.
