Sculpt mode for Curves
PROBLEM: In the Geometry Nodes era, we've now seen how interoperability of data types in Blender helps tremendously. The first question for many geometry nodes problems is whether to start with a curve or a mesh object, since both have limitations but both can solve those by transforming into the other one. Thus, you might frequently use Curve objects whose splines turn into flowers, trees, alien goo, etc. As a result, there is a greater need to access curve editing in an artist-friendly sculpting interface.
SOLUTION: Add sculpt mode to Curve objects! Since a major interoperability project right now is getting Grease Pencil in line with the rest of Blender (so hopefully it can access Geometry Nodes as well), I propose giving Curves a bit of the same treatment, and port over Grease Pencil's sculpt mode to curve objects.

Curves data-blocks already have Sculpt mode. What doesn't have Sculpt mode is Curve . The old data-block that will eventually get replaced by the new curves (well, new since a few releases already, work in progress).

YES! It's possible to sculpt hair, which are basically curves, so it should be possible to directly sculpt curve too.
Adding a sculpt mode to Curve objects in Blender is a fantastic idea, and here's why: When working with Geometry Nodes, one of the first things you often figure out is whether to start with a curve or a mesh. Both have their ups and downs, but being able to switch between them is super useful. You can turn curves into all sorts of things - flowers, trees, even alien goo. But tweaking those curves isn't always straightforward or friendly for artists.
From my experience, having a sculpt mode for curves would be a game-changer. It would make adjusting and fine-tuning curves as easy as shaping clay, giving us artists a lot more freedom and control. Plus, with all the work going into integrating Grease Pencil with the rest of Blender, it makes sense to give curves the same kind of love. Bringing over the sculpting tools from Grease Pencil to curves would seriously level up what we can create.
