Loading Render Kernels process should have a loading bar.

Currently, the "Loading Render Kernels" process message that is shown when viewport render is toggled on is tied to the viewport overlays, meaning it is hidden if you have overlays disabled. This can cause confusion as the loading process can take "a few minutes", during which time Blender will not respond and the user is left to assume that Blender has frozen.

I would suggest that, if possible, a loading bar is displayed in the status bar at the bottom of the screen , similar to that used for baking and rendering, or at least a noticeable text display (colored for visibility) indicating what is occurring.
