manipulate Texture node

It would be awsome to have a node that takes a texture input and a vector input and than applys the vector. Like a Image Texture node but with a texture input instead of the possibility to select a Image. This would be very helpfull to create node groups which take a Texture as an imput and than manipulate it. At the moment I try to create a Node that takes a Textue (procedural or image) as an imput, than pixelates it and writes the value of the pixel on each Pixel (Voxel). But It's not possible to pixelate a Texture without manipulate the vector going into it as far as I know. Screenshot 2021-08-05 144718.png

This would be pretty cool. Maybe instead of that we should push to have tools to create this stuff.

Maybe Geo-nodes allows to:

  • Array text objects per point, so you can display it also in surfaces. (Also having the option to display points allows to not only have a grid shape. Having one point by coordenate, or different shapes.)
  • Value to String; to change the texts objects and having a easy value visualization in viewport.
  • Way of doing it, By Data-transfer the data of the texture to list of values that you convert to string and then set the text to.

I will push, instead of having a Text object to display that, having a geonode for debuging, for drawing in viewport, rays, texts, etc.
