Viewpoint directions suggestion

I am not an expert with Blender, but learning everyday. I would like to suggest that the Viewpoint thingy, that's used to determine the X, Y, Z directions when moving an object, that the arrow extend its lines in infinite directions for all 3. It would make it a ton easier to be able to move that object to very near the desired location. As it stands now it just the 3 arrows (see first image) My suggestion, illustrated in the same image, with dots...

The 2nd image is from another 3d app/viewer, I use, that greatly assist with this type of thing. Its the best example I know of to convey what I am talking about. I've checked Preferences in Blender for an option to do this, and its possible I don't know what to look for in this respect, that is, if this feature is built in. If so, I apologize in advance for my over looking it. If this does exist, can someone tell me how to enable it?

Thanks for the consideration of this feature request. Annotation 2022-01-27 131948.png Annotation 2022-01-27 131927.png

Ooops, it already does this and I just noticed, its when you start to drag something in any one of the 3 directions, the direction your moving it extends the line. :) Nevermind the post, sorry. :)
