having the choice to organize the files and folders inside blender instead of creating actual folders in the hard drive itself
having the option where users can organize the files and folders inside blender instead of creating actual folders in the hard drive itself.
This could be through an extra option to be enabled inside blender, I don't mean to remove the old one. This way, I can have all the footage I work with linked inside one blender file instead of browsing my hard disk each time I am looking for a clip.
Clips can be simply shown in one location in the folder we create in Blender. Similar to Adobe Premiere, DaVinci, or any other video editor bins. As a result, users can choose which workspace they prefer to work with. I hope this is a clearer explanation to the idea.

I totally support this idea, this will make Premiere Pro users work with Blender instead. On the other hand, Blender users still have their workflow that they prefer, it is easy to switch between the 2 workflows according to user's preference.
Please check the explanation of the feature now, I didn't ask to change the way Blender works, I asked to add another option for organizing the media. I hope you can upvote for this. Thanks!
@tintwotin Thanks a lot for your help. I hope this tool can be included in the future updates which will make Blender more awesome as usual :)
Add-on for importing directly into the Asset Browser, which can be used to organize and tag material, before drag and drop into the vse: github.com/tin2tin/Import_as_asset
The Asset Browser can almost be used this way, but you'll manually have to move all material into Movie, Image and Sound data-blocks and then mark them as Assets. However, the it'll be missing proper thumbnails. Alternatively scenes can be used as bins this way: youtube.com/watch
Why the downvote?
So what if we have another feature that we can customize the files ourselves inside blender.
