Line Art - Make live line art accessible to bpy
I'm helping develop an external application ( github.com/jameshball/osci-render ), and we're using an addon to send line art data from Blender to osci-render. The application essentially takes the grease pencil line art and converts it to vector graphics to output to an oscilloscope or vector monitor.
Accessing the line art's baked strokes is pretty easy, as it's contained in
obj.data.layers.active.frames.data.active_frame.strokes
for the grease pencil object when it's baked.
However, from what I can tell, it's not possible to access the GPLA modifier's current line art strokes when it isn't baked, making osci-render only particularly useful for playing back pre-built animations and much less useful for live stuff.
In short, my feature request is to add a way to access the grease pencil line art's current (unbaked) state through bpy. Perhaps through the GP_LINEART grease pencil modifier, as that modifier is accessible through bpy, there's just no interface for the live data that I can see.

You know what, I think I'll take a crack at it on the 4.3 source code. We'll see what happens.
If I had more experience and was more familiar with the Blender source code, I'd try to implement this myself, but I've tried taking a look at the code itself and I can't find where it actually generates the live line art in the viewport.
