Material Node Attributes in Geometry Nodes

I've noticed that there is no way to use the factor or other attributes of a live shader in geometry nodes like one would use the factor and attributes of, say, a noise texture, and I would like to propose adding one.

The only thing I was really able to find when searching for material attributes was a material selection. I know that it is possible to use a baked material as an image texture in geometry nodes, but, if one's material is meant to be non-static, there's no way to transfer that kind of information over. Given that there is already a way to do the reverse and use geometry node attributes to affect material nodes, this seems like a logical next step.

If there were a way to use more material attributes to affect geometry nodes, it would open up many possibilities. One example that I've been specifically looking into would be the ability to affect geometry using a material's reaction to lights within the scene (which would have a different behavior than either the raycast node or proximity node).
