Changeable Default Export Values
Okay this here! This one is anoying the frick out of me. I am very sorry to say that. But it happens to me again and again at work and it really is time consuming. I don't care If I get worse karma for that. Okay here it goes.
Now why do I want that feature? Because 99% of the time I only want to export the selected objects and 1% of the time all objects. But after each start and for each format it defaults to all instead of select objects only!. So either I have a small file and I won't notice it until much later or more often I have a file with a high poly mesh. And the difference is that exporting a high poly mesh takes about 5 minutes or more while low poly only takes a few seconds. And what if I export the high poly file first? I have to for substance painter so I end up with an overcrowded high poly file which will mess up the backing process which also needs minutes to take care of.
I am sorry if it seems like a small complaint but right now this is my biggest grind with Blender.

FWIW, not all export add-ons default to using all objects (DXF, for example).
The current work-around for this is to modify the export script itself to use your preferred defaults. For now, as far as I know, there's not a really good way to store user-customizable defaults for arbitrary add-ons. It's actually a somewhat large (though, not technically difficult) change to Blender and the way add-ons are written. Currently, Blender settings and defaults are bundled into one or more .blend files. I'm not sure how that system would support updates for arbitrary add-ons.
That said, there's another possible work-around. It is possible to write and add-on that loads other add-ons. If that's the case, then it may be possible for that "parent add-on" to also set some customized defaults when it loads its "child add-ons". Just an idea that I haven't fully tested yet... but certainly worth exploring.
