Curve 'Draw' tool in Surface mode: exclude mesh options

The Curve 'Draw' tool lets you draw curves freehand, and the Surface mode draws curves directly onto visible meshes.

However, there is no way to choose what meshes to project onto, and this also includes any mesh generated by the same curve object, eg. using curve bevel or generated with Geometry Nodes.

This can cause problems in using curves this way, and you may not always want projection to every visible mesh, or the curve object itself.

It would be extremely useful to give the Surface mode exclusion options similar to Face Project snapping mode. These are: Include Active, Include Edited, Include Non-Edited, Exclude Non-Selectable.

These would be really useful additions to the Surface mode of the Draw tool.

I think this would be an amazing feature. I'm currently working on some bespoke AAA environments for VFX and this feature would have come in super handy for placing scatter objects with precision controls
