Add Offset Cut option to the Bevel Modifier.
It would be wonderful, if the offset cut option, (found in MESHmachine), was actually part of the Bevel Modifier.
The reason I say this, is so that it could maintain a non-destructive workflow. Currently if you use the offset Cut feature, it is a one time destructive operation. It technically could be a separate modifier, but I think having it another checkbox option along with overlap clamping, makes the most sense.
These screenshots were taken from a Josh Gambrell video explaining the use case of the offset cut feature.
This first image shows the results of the "offset cut", before adding a bevel:
The next image shows the successful large bevel that was not possible without the offset cut:
This last image shows what the bevel looks like without using the offset cut or the clamp overlap. (Which would result in a much smaller bevel if used.)

Thanks for the links. This looks promising.
Thanks! Didn't know there was an issue on this feature! What are the chances of seeing this feature in blender and in what release?
