Recursive typing in value field
Currently if I input a number in a value field box and hit enter, I need to re-select that value field to be able to type a new number, which slows down iteration a great deal. It would be great if the number field box stayed active (as it does in Maya) so I can continuously try one number, hit enter to apply it, then immediately type a different number, hit enter and see the change, and so on, ad infinitum, until I click elsewhere in the viewport, or on another number field box.

How does this actually work in maya with regards to keyboard shortcuts? If you need to always click elsewhere after inputting a number value to "unselect it" isn't there constant danger of the value field taking the keyboard as hostage for as long as the user hasn't clicked elsewhere? Does maya do something with mouse cursor positioning so you don't actually need to click elsewhere but simply moving mouse to different viewport or so is enough to break that connection?
* @o7216059 * you can hit the alt key, which is how you navigate the viewport in maya (alt left click, alt middle mouse, alt right click), so the Blender equivalent might be middle mouse press? you can also hit escape, tab, or click anywhere outside of the input field. Essentially, any new action that involves a modifier key, or a mouse click, including viewport navigation does it. I use a lot of keyboard shortcuts in maya and have rarely encountered any issue with this workflow.
