Merge by minimum distances

Sometimes we need to merge very closed vertices and not closed one. For that we speculate values like 0.001, 0.0015, 0.05, 0.06, 0.1, 0.15, 0.18,

For such need, There should an option in the Merge context menu called "Merge by minimum distance". In that blender calculate the minimum distance between two vertices and use it as a merge distance.

I dont really understand, how it would be different from the actual "merge by distance" feature?

From what I understand from your proposal, you can simply use the weld modifier

* @Shimoon * I mean we have to manually input the minimum distance of merge, sometimes we speculate values like maybe 0.005 work maybe 0.0051 work. It is okay to use weld modifier but when we have very dense mesh we sometimes weld unwanted vertices which is not noticeable at initial stage. we have to manually orbit around the mesh if the merge threshold is enough/more and if it exceeds we have to try entering new values, But a computer knows the minimum distance between two vertices and we can use this without wasting time for speculations.
