Show name of operation while Undoing / Redoing
It would be great to see what operation am I at, while Undoing or Redoing operation.
Just a small popup message somewhere that says "Undo: Scale" etc

Good point!
Plus there is a registering of undo actions with names already, a simple display of what got undone should be easy.
There really needs to be an Undo Editor that I can dock anywhere in the UI or put in a separate window. That menu is not pleasant to use.
Yup! But the BF stated that floating UI and dockings are evil so that's not going to happen , at least not in Vanilla Blender.
Now you just do not know what have been undone and it is quite annoying since you do not always see any difference
