Clean faces and dashed lines in xray

Hi Blender community.

A couple of days ago, I found it would be useful to have a button to hide edges between coplanar faces, so it would be easier to show clean engineering style drawings in viewport, specially when you use boolean. Another idea is to show dashed lines for hidden edges in X-ray. ...And I know that's possible with freestyle, but that's only in renders and not in viewport (as far as I know). The image below shows an example of when it would be convenient to use "hide edges between coplanar faces" button. I appreciate your efforts. Thank you
