More Border render controls

Border render is a valuable feature that can be enhanced a little. At least it deserves its own panel. Further enhancements might be controls for dividing the render into quarters/ninth/etc and even render them in sequence (for very big format renders).

Edit: As an afterthought, this could be then integrated with this: rightclickselect.com/p/rendering/7cbbbc/retain-previous-render-while-rendering-with-render-border A "Keep previous render" checkbox may do the job

There is already a addon which does this, developer.blender.org/T47267

BUt to me it seems the devs are quite hard to impress, they dont tend to see the use for practical and precise methods. That while the current drag tool is a bit clumsy i think

I had a different idea which i added here as small little mockup blender.community/c/rightclickselect/0vbbbc/when-drawing-render-border-allow-moving-it .

Quick render border tool

This has already been tried ( developer.blender.org/D617 ) and abandoned for adding too much UI-clutter. Though you can still access the render border values here : blender.stackexchange.com/questions/44504/possible-to-set-render-border-exactly But I personnally would also like it to be in the side panel or render properties panel.

Aweome ! Thanks a lot, I'm definitely using that. Now I need to find how to make it stay when closing-reopening Blender.

My bad, I didn't understand why Blender didn't let me install the addon "from file", but it was because I already put it in the directory where it gets automatically installed ! so I didn't even look for it in the list. Now everything's fine. Thanks again !

I believe that the Amaranth add-on has a few of these features/enhancements. If it does, it might be worth referencing.
