Rendering: zero-pad based on number of frames (rather than the hardcoded four digits)
Currently animation frames are rendered as 0000.png, 0001.png ... 9999.png, 10000.png, 10001.png...
You can override with "#" in the file name to use more digits.
Why not just default to the number of digits in the max frame number? E.g. if my project goes to frame 25438, zero-pad to five digits?

Inside a project it would make the file name schemes inconsistant between scenes or depending which part of a animation is rendered.
Considering such drawback and that I don't see what advantage it brings, I personally wouldn't use such thing. But It's only me.
* @-L0Lock- * The main issue is interoperability having to deal with shell scripts, file browsers, or OS's that require extra finessing to get files to order correctly. I'm not clear on the advantage of consistent naming between scenes, as you describe, but I can accept that it might be a counterargument. Personally I would prefer the default to be as I described; maybe others will chime in. 0999.png followed by 1000.png...9999.png followed by 10000.png is a pretty weird solution, to me.
